City of Sauk Rapids Compost Site


 

The City of Sauk Rapids’ gated compost site system is now officially open and will be open daily from 8:00am until 8:00pm. A QR Code is required to access the compost site and no attendant will be on-site. Instructions for scanning the QR Code and opening the gate have been posted at the compost site entrance. Please see below information for how to purchase a compost permit (QR Code).


 

 


 

Residents of the City of Sauk Rapids will be charged $40 to use the compost site for the entire season. Non-residents will be charged $70 for the season. The Sauk Rapids compost site is reserved for single-family use. Compost stickers will not be sold for duplexes, commercial, or industrial uses.

Compost Permit Instructions:

 
  1. Fill in your Full Name and Email.
            a. The email entered will receive the payment link and generated permit.
 
2.  Enter Your address, SELECTING IT FROM THE LIST that appears
             a. After three characters are entered, a drop down will appear with a filtered list of possible addresses.
            Adding Additional characters will further filter possible results.
 
3. After the address is entered, the City, State, Zip Code, and Parcel will populate.
 
4. Enter the Vehicle information of the Vehicle that will be making the Compost drop-offs.
              a. This includes the Make, Model, and Color of the vehicle, as well as the License Plate.
 
5. Once all required fields are filled in, click Submit.
 
6. A message will pop up telling you to check your e-mail for a link to make payment.
               a. You will receive an email from laserfiche@ci.sauk-rapids.mn.us Please check your junk folder if you did not receive the email.
 
7. Click the link in your e-mail to make payment.
 
8. After payment, you will receive another e-mail with your permit attached. You can either print this permit or save it to your phone to present to the compost site attendant.

Compost Site Address

The Compost site is located at 3215 Quarry Road NE or 1 1/4 miles North of Golden Spike Road on County Road 57. When delivering yard waste to the compost site, please secure your load as to prevent items from falling out on route to the site.
