Position Objectives:

Sauk Rapids, a fast-growing central Minnesota community, is seeking mature, service orientated individuals to fill the role of volunteer Police Reserve Officers. 

 

This position assists sworn police officers in carrying out their duties, that may include crowd control at special events, directing traffic, documenting ordinance violations, issuing winter seasonal parking violations and other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications: Must be able to successfully pass an oral interview, physical ability examinations, and background investigation.

 

Process:  Applicants must submit a city employment application to be considered as a candidate for the position.  Applications will be rated and the top candidates will then be invited to an oral interview.  After the interview, the top candidates will undergo a thorough background check.  If offered a position as Police Reserve Officer, the offer will be conditioned on successfully completing a physical ability examination.
