Duties and Responsibilities:
The City of Sauk Rapids is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual for a full-time position as the Assistant Public Works Director. As an on-call member of the Public Works management team, this individual is responsible for participating in and supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City's streets, recreation areas, water and sewer lines and water treatment plant. Work is performed with considerable independence under general supervision of the department directors. This position is an exempt/non-union position with the responsibility of assisting in the supervision of the Public Works and Utilities department staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified candidate must be certified as a Wastewater Collection Facility Operator and Water System Operator with experience in Utility and Street/Park Maintenance or related field. This position requires a Class "B" Minnesota Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) and skill in the safe operation of motorized equipment used on the job.
