PRAIRIE GARDENS PARK

PARK SIZE:             5.93 Acres

DESCRIPTION:       This park has 3 acres of holding ponds and wetlands that are encircled by a paved, lighted walking path.  The area was extensively landscaped and is designed for observation and exercise.

HISTORY:                 The land was acquired in 1991 as part of the Prairie Garden Plat.  In 1993 the development was selected by the DNR as an exemplary project for wetland preservation.

FACILITIES:             Lighted walking trail, observation benches, and ponds. The walking trail is approximately 0.77 miles and connects to the trail from Eastern Star Park.

FUTURE GOALS:   Maintaining the trail and landscaping.
