2025 Compost Site Permits
Please Note: The City is working on updating the compost permit process. Compost Permits may not be available until late February or March of 2025.
Compost Site permits are required to use the Sauk Rapids Compost Site.
Compost site permits are $40 for the entire compost site season. The Sauk Rapids compost site is reserved for single-family use (no-residency requirement). Compost stickers will not be sold for duplexes, commercial, or industrial uses. Click here for a full listing of the rules and regulations for the Sauk Rapids compost site.
Regular Compost Site Hours:
The Sauk Rapids Compost Site is closed for the season. Check back for the 2025 opening date.
-Mondays 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
-Wednesdays Noon until 7:00 p.m.
-Saturdays 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
*The Compost Site is closed on all Federal holidays.
The Compost site is located at 3215 Quarry Road NE or 1 1/4 miles North of Golden Spike Road on County Road 57. When delivering yard waste to the compost site, please secure your load as to prevent items from falling out on route to the site.
