City of Sauk Rapids Compost Sticker Rules
1) $35.00 for 1st vehicle, $15.00 for additional vehicle, (2nd vehicle operator must reside in the same household). If you sell or purchase a different vehicle or replace the windshield you must remove the old sticker and present it at the time of re-issue request, cost for replacement for these reasons, $5.00.
2) Locations for the placement of stickers are: 1. Lower passenger side of the windshield or 2. Passenger side window. Failure to have sticker permanently mounted at one of the above-mentioned locations will be enforced and failure to comply will result in attendant refusing use of the compost site.
3) The purchase of a sticker allows you to drop off brush, leaves, wood chips, grass clippings, and rocks, ONLY. To keep operation costs down, we ask that residents place these items in the designated areas for the type of material being dropped off. No demolition debris, lumber, concrete, shingles, etc, will be accepted. You may also take compost and firewood (if available) from the site for personal use.
4) Information required for purchasing the sticker is a driver’s license with current address, the Make and Model of Vehicle to be registered and the License Plate Number of that Vehicle. No residency requirement for residential use of compost site.
5) Stickers will be sold Monday – Friday from 8am – 4:30pm at City Hall located in the Sauk Rapids Government Center (250 Summit Ave North) or online.
6) No Multiple Family, Commercial or Industrial use properties, including duplexes, will be allowed to purchase a sticker; this includes any owner occupied properties.
7) If you are elderly and don’t have a vehicle, but wish to register a family member, a special form can be filled out at the Sauk Rapids Government Center. This form must accompany the member when disposing of material at the site.
